Breastfeeding Support

During Pregnancy

Find out how to get breastfeeding off to the best start before your baby arrives. Newborns often want their first feed within the first hour after birth. Learn how babies are born able to breastfeed and how to help that first feed make all the difference to your breastfeeding goals.

A home consultation will give you and your partner a chance to ask lots of questions and discuss any particular concerns you may have about feeding your baby.

With your Baby

Once your baby is here you may have some breastfeeding issues that are worrying you or causing you discomfort. From day one right through to weaning your baby, a consultation can help you get on the right track.

Mum and baby will both be fully assessed, with observation of a breastfeed,  an oral examination will be performed on the baby and a full history taken. The consultation will take as long as is needed and the emphasis is on an unhurried approach and good listening.
