Parent Support

Newborn Support

Bringing a newborn into the family is an exciting time.  I offer six home visits from birth to 3 months to support parents through those early weeks, to reassure and offer advice as needed. Visits include all aspects of the health and wellbeing of the family at this time of new challenges and experiences.  Consultations can include breastfeeding support, baby massage and baby resuscitation. Phone, text or email support throughout the 3 months if required is included.

Developmental Support

As your baby grows and develops, you may have some areas of concern.  I offer  one to one consultations for any health, developmental or behavioural issues about your baby or young child. Concerns about your child's development, introducing solid food, potty training, sleep issues  or concerns about your own emotional well-being are just some areas I can help you through. With your permission I can liaise with other professionals such as your GP.

Baby First Aid Workshops

Parents feel more confident if they know what to do in an emergency.  Small workshops, using mannikins, teach you how to resuscitate a baby who has stopped breathing, and what to do if your baby is choking. Also recognising rashes, cuts and bruises, burns, preventing accidents and home safety.

Request a workshop for you and other parents or grandparents in your home or come along to a workshop being held at my home in Bollington. Babies welcome.

Weaning Workshops

At around six months, most babies start wanting food other than milk. How do you know when to start, what to give, what to avoid, how much, what about the milk, vitamins and iron? Find out how to make weaning enjoyable for you and your baby and get them on the road to healthy eating for life.
